COUNTDOWN TO NANOWRIMO

I have put a countdown ticker on my main website in honor of NaNoWriMo. Once the event actually starts, that ticker will be replaced by my current work count, as I march toward November 30th with a laptop full of words.

BUD SKETCHES III

As I slowly turn the page, I smile to myself and know that Bud the Bunny will be a wonderful book. As author, I created the words, crafted the sentences, built the concept. As illustrator, the student has realized Bud's personality, and given him a friend. I could not be more excited about this project.

The next step will be to see a few colored pages of Bud and his environment.

I hop in place in anticipation.

MY LIBRARY

When I first moved into my house in November 2001, I had designated the front area of my bedroom as my library. Due to the occupation of the designated craft room by my boyfriend, the designated library was put aside and the bookcases scattered throughout the house to find resting places where they may.

While the boyfriend is still a priority, access to the crafts is not. Therefore my pain-free moments for this month will be spent in the packing of crafts, moving of bookcases and other furniture, and the creation of my library. This is my future excuse for the next 3 weeks.

I rationalize it as having a designated writing space free of clutter and distractions will make me more productive.

And allow me to create 50,000 words in a month.

So you see, it it all for the cause of my writings.

And two positives can never create a negative.

As my American friends would reply, "Yeah, right."

DESKTOP - BUD I

The limitations on the company's hardware has become more and more strict, especially in view of certain SO legistation. As such, I am no longer inspired by my screensaver, and must make do with a creative selection of desktop pictures.

In lieu of the targetted release date of Bud the Bunny in a few months, I thought I would share my current desktop image with you.

May you enjoy it as much as I do.
